With nearly 20 years of putting out rock-solid field watches, Bertucci is no stranger to the world of military-inspired timepieces. With a focus on durability and quality, Bertucci is able to bring a wide range of affordable field watches to the mix. The new A-11T Field Chronograph is a field watch at heart, but adds a convenient chronograph complication for all of your timing needs. The dial design is based on a WWII-era military spec that calls out for a high contrast white-on-black dial with markings on the outer dial every 10 minutes. This modern take on the A-11 spec features a lightweight and durable matte titanium case and 200m of water resistance, making the A-11T Field Chronograph an excellent go-anywhere, do-anything watch.
The A-11T Field Chronograph features a 42mm matte titanium case with a unique-to-the-brand Unibody design. The case and lugs are all a single piece of metal, omitting the need for spring bars — a common failure point in wristwatches. The entire watch weighs in at just 2.3oz, making it light on the wrist during whatever activity you may find yourself doing. The chronograph function features three registers, all with a lumed background for supreme legibility. Swiss Super Luminova is used on the hands, indices, and subdials for an impressive show when the lights go out. White text on a black dial really stands out, while red accents on two of the sub-dials add a pop of color that also benefits the legibility of the watch.
Inside the A-11T Field Chronograph, you’ll find a quartz movement that’s made in the USA. The movement features 3 jewels and all-metal construction. There’s a dedicated 60 minutes subdial, a 60 seconds subdial, and a 24-hour time display. The watch is also capable of split timing, which can measure 2 separate finish times. On a single battery, the watch will run for just over three years before needing a swap, making it an excellent grab-and-go addition to your collection.
